Hey everyone in today's article I want to show you how to find the copyright free music for your youtube videos and especially if you're new to this process youtube is very very strict on music being used in videos that you upload to youtube now the reason for that is youtube just has rules around copyright meaning if you edit your video with music you don't have permission to use youtube will most likely give you a copyright strike mute the video or demonetize the video if you're in the partner program and you get paid from youtube videos and maybe the artist gets paid that money instead so how do you find the right music to use in your youtube videos without that issue so popular music the stuff that you listen to on the radio or on spotify on pandora that stuff is out of the question you cannot use those four youtube videos you will most likely get a strike or be demonetized on your youtube videos now what kind of music can you use they're called royalty free or copyright free basically there's no copyright for them let me show you where to find those and i'll show you some of my favorite ones we'll start with this completely free option youtube actually created a library an audio library that has free music sound effects and it's pretty decent for what it has to offer now to get to this page just go to the creator studio on youtube and it's right here on their audio library now you have to access this on the desktop here.

But most likely you're editing with an app on your computer and basically how this works is you could go ahead and search to filter the library or just press play on songs here and once you like a song you just press download right here and you could see there is the type of permission that you have for this it says you're free to use this audio track including videos that are monetized no attribution is needed attribution sometimes refers to needing to actually give credit in the description section of your video to the artist so you could actually see some of them say no attribution but there are different license types that you'll come across some require attribution to the artist and i've used this option from time to time i really like that it's very safe but the quality of songs on there most of the time i just spend a lot of time searching and not finding what i'm looking for so it's kind of my last go-to option but it's free it's headache free you know for a fact that youtube's not going to give you any issues if you pick music from here so this should be your first stop if you're starting out then we'll go through some more advanced things now now this is where i typically get all my music in fact i get all of my music here for all my youtube channels and it's called envato elements i'll put a link in the description to this website and if you click the music tab here you could see it has bunch of music files here about 70 000 as i'm recording this all royalty free now the reason why i like this platform is not only does it give you free music here royalty free music but it gives you all kinds of other stuff like stock video you could use in your videos templates for intros and infographics and logos things and even pictures and sound effects and all kinds of stuff photos too for one price so you pay a monthly fee so i pay a monthly fee for this and i download whatever i want anytime i want i could download 100 songs if i feel like it i use it in all kinds of videos so this works the same way you go ahead and search it has a lot of search filters a lot more powerful than the youtube library here even with tempo changes the length of the video and you could go ahead and press play listen to it you like it you could go ahead and press download on it really really simple really straightforward and it's worth a try just to browse around you don't actually have to pay for it if you just want to browse to see the quality of songs it has now this next one is actually the same company technically audio jungle but this one you pay per song so in bottle elements is you get a one time monthly fee for everything that platform has this one you buy songs anywhere from five dollars and up now the reason why i like this is because it has better quality songs but this really depends if i think i'm making a video that's really worth spending five to twenty dollars on the music alone i use this platform and i buy that song now mainly i use audio jungle for my video production work because when i make videos for clients for social media i really want the best possible song and it's no problem paying 20 30 for a video that i'm charging a lot more for but for youtube i usually stick with envato elements sometimes i have probably around 10 20 times used audio jungle to purchase a very specific song for a youtube video and finally i'll show you this one epidemic sound is pretty cool because it's just like in vital elements where you pay a monthly fee and you get access to all their music and they have really really good music here too same thing press play you like it you download it you edit it in your video now pricing let me show you just kind of how this works now this has a personal use so if you're just making videos for youtube this says it covers you here or if you're like me and you make youtube videos and you're a freelancer or run a business you need this commercial license either way 50 bucks a month sometimes i spend that much on one song on the envato marketplace audio jungle but this just gives you everything for that price but for most people this is the one you need so i have a free trial link in the description you could go ahead and try it out there as well and the last option 

I'll mention is you could actually look on youtube or google for royalty-free music and some artists make their music available with attribution if you just google it or if you reach out to them if you come across their song the only thing i don't like about that is if they change their policy later or they decide that they're going to put that into the automatic filtering that youtube has where it recognizes copyright songs then you might get into issues later now it's unlikely but i literally had for one of my films that i made i created or i hired a composer to create music i paid them thousands of dollars to create music and youtube decided that i had a copyright issues and actually muted that video the trailer to my movie for the longest time before i even noticed because it was on different channels that i didn't check often enough so that's why i don't like picking music from artists on one on one right there that got cleared up because i obviously had the permission of the composer i paid them and i had the right to use the music but you get the idea sometimes that's not the best way to go if you just don't want to worry about it now here's a quick example so go to youtube type in royalty free music this is one of the first search results that came up and you could see in the description they have a link where you could download that and it says no copyright music royalty free music creative comments which is also related to using something without copyright issues now here that's another problem i don't like it's 22 million views on this that means in just the last several years a lot of people have used this in their music so with envato and with epidemic sound i get more unique music that is not all over youtube because if this has this many views it is likely that it's in a million videos right but you could read more about it too but i did read some of their information here they said they're not responsible if you get into copyright issues obviously they don't want to be responsible for that but it is claimed to be royalty-free and it looks like a lot of people are using it so those are five different ways to get royalty-free music for your youtube videos again make sure you don't put yourself in a position where you get into copyright issues with youtube now i'm going to make a lot more youtube content and you can see my existing content on growing subscribers getting a thousand subscribers getting 10 000 subscribers getting more views and ranking your Vidoe number one on YouTube Push The Notification.
